Lure Introduction

At 98g she flew several times across the room before being offered the back half of a mouse on the lure. While she ate on the lure I walked away to get a tidbit and when I walked back she had finished with the mouse so I held out my hand and she jumped right up. Can't ask for a better lure introduction than that!

98g de sukai te ni tonde kimashita. Sono ato lure wo shokai shite nezumi no hanbun wo tsukemashita. Sugu tabete kuremashita. Tabenagara betsu no heya ni itte modottara nezumi wo tabeowatta tokoro dakara te wo dashite sugu ni te ni tonde kimashita. Ii kanji desu!

Clips arrive?

Not yet. I've been keeping an eye out for them though and will let you know when I get them.

F.Y.I. You mentioned that with the setup I'm currently using tangles are inevitable. Looking back, I don't know that you could see that there is a swivel attached. Didn't want you to think that its just leash to jesses. It's a leash, swivel, extender, jesses system. No tangles so far but I'll switch it out when the clips get here for sure. Thanks again.

Ah... not I couldn't see that from the photo. It looked to me as if you has just threaded the leash through the jesses. That can work (in the Arab style) on larger hawks but not for kestrels, in my experience.

You may not need the system I sent after all. My advice, always, is "do whatever works." Related advice: If it aint broke, don't fix it! :-)
