Industrial Hawking

Saturday was a blast! What else can I say? Things started slow as we checked out some property on speculation. We had a good flight with the Harris hawks at the one jack that we got up but that's all we saw so we headed to another spot to give the Red-tails a try at some cottontails. Had a couple decent flights there but no success. By this point our leader was getting frustrated so he decided to take us to his honey hole...and as honey holes are apt to do, it produced!

hey, loved the multitudinous videos! Tell more about the folks you're with. Great birds in flight. Thanks!

I still like the idea of training Eli.

I hope its not a total disappointment to see ME commenting on your FALCONRY blog, but I'm just fascinated by your hobby! Dust and I watched those little clips of the birds getting the bunnies over and over again last night! SO COOL! Are the bunnies planted there or do you have to search for them? Hope your pumpkin bread turned out okay...
Love you!

All the bunnies are wild bunnies that live(d?) in an industrial park. They'd hunker down and try and hide until we got close. Jackrabbits are different, they just run and run! Those flight are harder to get on film because you never know when they are going to happen. Hopefully I'll be going out again this weekend and get some more videos!
